How we work
From fund list to findings memo
Donor-use work succeeds when both sides know what arrives when. This page shows the rhythm we use for a typical review with a Taiwan nonprofit finance team.
What you send first
A current list of restricted funds and open grants, gift letters or contracts for those in scope, ledger detail for the review period, and the name of one finance contact who can answer coding questions. Incomplete packets are fine; we document gaps instead of guessing purpose language.
Where the work happens
Document review is usually remote. Interviews can be by video or at your office in the Taipei area. Our own base is in Hsinchuang. Final memos and briefing packs are delivered in English.
Engagement stages
-
Inquiry
You describe the funds or grants under pressure—board meeting, funder visit, leadership change—and we reply with questions and a draft fee range.
-
Scoping
We agree the period, the sample approach, interview contacts, and the delivery date for the draft memo.
-
Testing
Selected expenditures are traced to purpose language and supporting files. Exceptions are logged with the document reference.
-
Draft review
Your team corrects factual errors within an agreed window. Scope debates are separated from facts so the board sees a clean record.
-
Final briefing
We deliver the memo or pack and walk through findings with the people who must act—often the treasurer and finance officer together.
What this is not
We do not sell access to a monitoring product, replace your bookkeeper mid-month, or issue a statutory audit opinion unless that is separately engaged with appropriate credentials and standards. The commercial core is human review of donor-use and fund tracking evidence.
